Women with Disabilities
Each year MWR has a mobility support van to ensure inclusion of disabled women and women who would have difficulty completing the length of the march. A map of the route will be available marking resting seats and public toilets for those who need resting places along the route. Last year was the biggest Million Women Rise March yet with approximate 10,000 women marching. To make it even bigger this year, please spread the word and get in touch with us.

Calling all women to march together for International Women’s Day to celebrate our strength and courage.
Million Women Rise is an annual women only march in protest at the ongoing epidemic of male violence against women and children. MWR is organised by a coalition of women who are united by their outrage of the individual and institutionalised violence against women worldwide. It is an important event every year but even more so this year as many of the organisations and charities who support women who have experienced domestic violence and rape are having their funding slashed thereby reducing much needed services.

Time: 7:00am prompt.
Return journey: Pick up central London at 5.00pm
Cost: Individual tickets on a sliding scale, £20 waged, £10 students/low waged, £5 unwaged. Organisations block booking tickets £17 per place.
