Million Women Rise wishes to thank all the women and children who came to join us in central London on 6th March for the third national demonstration against male violence and in celebration of International Women's Day. Women travelled from all over the UK to march down Oxford Street and into Trafalgar Square, singing, chanting, hollering and shouting. We came together to be one woman, with one voice, to be in unity, to be loud, to be visible, to be heard saying ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, to demand justice and freedom from violence for women around the world.

We thank the women who travelled from Birmingham, Bournemouth, Bradford, Cornwall, Leeds, Lincoln, Manchester, Nottingham, Oxford, Ireland and Wales to name just a few of the places women travelled from in the UK. We thank our sister who travelled from Uganda to be with us.

We thank the stewards for keeping us safe while we marched.

We thank the speakers and lyrical activist who shared their stories and experiences and inspired us to continue with the work we know we have to do to end male violence.

Together we will end male violence. When we rise tall, we are unstoppable.

One woman, one body, one song, one love

We will upload the MWR video and photos soon but in the meantime, here are some other links to the march.
